VeganMoFo2012 Day 27: Cookbook Haul - Vegan Eats World and Artisan Vegan Cheese

Morning! I thought I'd share a vlog today just to talk about some new vegan cookbooks and calendars that I got this week!

Cookbook Haul Vlog:

Mentioned in the vlog:

I got two new cookbooks this week! The first is Artisan Vegan Cheese by Miyoko Schinner. I have been hearing good, good things about this book and we're really excited to starting making some of these recipes.

And as most readers will know, my favourite cookbook ever is Viva Vegan! by Terry Hope Romero so I was really excited to pre-order her new book, Vegan Eats World! The Book Depo sent my copy out early and it looks fantastic! It's hardback, with lots of photos and I can't wait to sit down and bookmark the heck out of this book!

I am a big fan of Michelle from MyZoetrope! She's so talented and I like having her calendars and artwork in my house (you can see some in my kitchen tour post.) This year I bought the regular calendar as well as the new cats calendar, both are adorable. Plus Michelle included a card and some temporary tattoos - yay! Thanks, Michelle :)

Have you guys treated yo' selves to any new cookbooks, lately?

Ahh, you make me blush! Hehe! It was so nice to see and hear you! Thanks for including me!

You're going to LOVE the cheese book. I'm having lots of fun making little kitchen "experiments." Most have come out well, and I've learned a whole lot. Can't wait for Terri's new book!

So glad you posted this. I so love your blog and it's nice to get to know your face and voice for sure, especially since I love aussie accents. Actually one of the highlights of this mofo has been discovering new Aussie vegan blogs, so I can virtually visit over there with you all.

I've really appreciated your de-glutening of things on Viva Vegan, it's got me to be more bold about trying things out of it. I look forward to what you create from those two new books.

And the calendars are so awesome! I need to give some as X-mas gifts, and maybe one to myself too.

I spent years working and training with Aussies, and you brought back so many wonderful memories. Fantastic video, and such great picks too. Michelle's work is always adorable I've eyeing her cat calendar, and I've heard great things about the other two books. Even if it was just to get a MoFo post out tof the way ;) I so enjoyed your vlog.

Mandee! And Molly! It's so nice to actually see you! I would love to see more Mandee vlogs! You are beautiful and lovely and you seem so comfortable in front of the camera! Your voice is so pleasant too. I am a nasally mumbler. I nearly fell off my chair when you mentioned me - so cool! Thanks for the shoutout! :D

I want those cookbooks too! Both of them! Michelle's stuff looks so cute! The little cat calendar is adorable <3

This post made me so happy! I need to go hug a duck or something!

Loved the vlog and seeing you and Molly! Hope you enjoy cooking from VEW, I'm pretty sure you will. Looking forward to your posts about what you have made. I still have heaps of recipes to try and Artisan Vegan Cheese will definitely be the next cookbook purchase I make.

Eeeeep, Mandee, this is like the cutest thing ever! You're so cute, I love your Aussie accent and I love that you reviewed three of the things I'm planning to buy as soon as I have some cash at the end of the month!

You too cute Mandee! I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Artisan Vegan Cheese cookbook too! Looking forward to some of those recipes. I just ordered Crazy Sexy Kitchen and requested some other cookbooks to check out from our library.

Yay vlogging! Nice work!

My granddad gave me a tenner the other day and said I should spend it on anything but booze or snuff (!) - so it had to be cookbooks for me! I bought Veggiestan, but Vegan Artisan Cheese is definitely on my to-buy list.

I love the My Zoetrope stuff too!

I love the vlog! I've put the cheese book on my Christmas list so fingers crossed santa will bring it. I've just made the smokey mountain cheese from Vegan Diner this weekend and it's got me wanting to try lots more cheese recipes.

You are even more adorable on video than in pictures and print <3 We're new cookbook twins, except for the fact that my Vegan Eats World wont be here until Wednesday! Can't wait to get my hands on it xo

I went vegan in 2006 and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love baking cupcakes and reading books and often wish I could combine both activities without disastrous results. If I’m not in the kitchen you’ll find me photographing food, cuddling my three kittehs or re-watching my favourite tv shows over and over again with my boyfriend. Due to food sensitivities I don't eat gluten or soy and yes, vegan, gluten free and soy free food is still delicious! Twitter: CupcakeKitteh
